J'Adore Euro Disney eh Paris

Bonjour Mes Amis,

Yes, I am picking up the language quite well! Bonjour and Merci is about the extent of it lol.  And before I continue to write, the eh in my title is a play on words because I am Canadian and we say eh a lot!

I write this blog to you from the beach as Kristina wanted to venture down at night and watch the waves and planes take off!  A beautiful sight from right outside our hotel in Nice.

We spent a whole week in Paris and it still wasn't enough time to see all the museums and famous landmarks that the city has to offer! If you are planning on going to Paris and seeing everything in one trip that may be impossible, as so much detail is in each place that you will spend more time than you think and if you plan too long of a trip you will get sick of the rude Parisians that inhabit the city.

Paris in itself is amazing, the Eiffel Tower should be on everyone's bucket list! We bought tickets to the top and the views of the city are magnifique, it truly takes your breath away!  Another favourite on our list was the Garnier L'Opera House (see our fun pictures below) it is beyond beautiful inside with all the details in every crevasse of the building and home to famous ballets, operas and more!  We then toured the city of Paris by foot yep bring your most comfortable shoes as I now need a foot transplant!  And we lucked out on weather with the sun beating down on us every moment for the first few days!  Our last day in the city of Paris before moving onto Disney, was spent shopping, where I purchased my first Louis Vuitton with the support and encouragement of Kristina!

We then headed to our hotel right by Disneyland, Val D'Elysees.  This is the perfect hotel for Disneyland as it is located right by the train station and a HUGE mall and outlet mall (now we're talking).  The staff there were friendly and helpful and stored our bags as our room wasn't ready when we arrived.  We then proceeded on the free shuttle to Disney.  Kristina and I were like little kids again so excited to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse and go on all the rides! (Check out the pictures below) We booked our tickets online so we wouldn't have to wait in any lines, which there weren't any.  In fact there were no lineups at all the whole two days we were there, our maximum wait was 5 minutes for each ride which allowed us to enjoy every single ride the park has to offer.  We started with Space Mountain which I was so excited about and Kristina, well she yelled at me the whole time and came off looking like a ghost.  But she was a trooper and went on every single ride with me except the Aerosmith Roller Coaster, which was okay with me!  Euro Disney was a blast and I am pretty sure I bought the place out.  We were lucky we went during the slow season, right in between Halloween and Christmas, and I would highly recommend anyone going to any Disney park to choose a time when it's the low season, it's worth it!  Also you need at least two days to do the parks, as there is two and if you have kidlets, they will wear our fast! Euro Disney was a great experience and everyone at the park was friendly and helpful and loved talking to us Canadians.  We were even told to audition for casting roles, ie princesses etc.  lol could you picture that?!! Lol lol, me hopping around the park singing? well okay maybe it would fit.

Our next stop is Nice and my sneak peak for you all that it is amazing, beyond belief.

Bonne journee mes amis!

Be sure to follow me on Instagram for up to the minute pictures of my trip @ohsolindsay

If you plan on visiting Paris a few things to note: Buy your tickets online for everything first and take the bus or train everywhere.  There were huge lineups for all the museums and exhibits but the option to buy online for reserved tickets is the same price so I highly recommend it!   Paris is a busy city and the traffic is insane as people stop whenever and where ever they like, so I suggest bus and train everywhere, even to the airport as our shuttle took us over three hours and we missed our flight! Lesson learned.

Big Brother 15... First Episode

Sooo my friends... What did you think of last nights episode of Big Brother 15?  Were you shocked that McCrae won the first HoH?  What about the MVP, do you like that twist?

It was definitely a lack luster episode but the first episode usually is, it gets better each episode as we see people's characters come out and we see the game evolve.  My three least favorites after last nights episode are David 'The Hair' Girton, GinaMarie Zimmerman, and Judd 'What did you say?' Daughtery.  My favourites so far are, Nick, Spencer, McCrae, Howard (LMM you know why), Aaryn and Jeremy.  But believe me I'm like a fish out of water flip flopping between my favorites each episode so we'll just have to wait and see this play out!

It was nice to see the 'underdog' pizza boy win HoH, who knew he had it in him?! Will he keep his promise to Nick?  Who will he nominate?  Sunday we shall find out!

I kept guessing throughout the episode (probably annoyingly to my friends ;)) what the MVP will do, they weren't the first HoH like I thought they might be.  They weren't safe for the first week like my second thought, Big Brother had me stumped!  So what does the MVP mean for the game?  Well let me tell you it's genius!! The MVP is picked by the views and is a secret (smart) and they get to secretly nominate the third person for eviction!  This definitely changes the game as one person is not solely in control.  Hopefully the voters don't decide to nominate the HoH as MVP each week, that would defeat the purpose.

Big Brother seems to be pulling out all the stops this season, more house guests, big twists and new sets; it's shaping up to be a good season!  Tune in on Sunday, June 30th at 5pm EST / 8pm PST on CBS to see who gets nominated and who wins power of veto!

ALSO, for Canadians, Big Brother after dark will be played for free from 1am to 3am every night on Slice

Mistresses Monday

Happy Monday My Friends,

The start to another work week.  I hope you are enjoying your day and getting ready for ABC's all new steamy summer drama Mistresses!  You best believe I will be!

What is this show about you ask?!

Do you all remember Samantha, the sweet little tom boy from Who's the Boss?

Well she's all grown up now, not so sweet and is the headliner of this quartet of gal pals in Mistresses.

Based on the British hit series, Mistresses centers around the romantic exploits of a group of very beautiful and successful women living in Los Angeles.  Savi, played by Alyssa Milano, is an attorney trying to conceive a baby with her husband, but also finding herself in a flirtatious relationship with co-workers.  Karen, played by Yunjin Kim, is a therapist who gets caught up in a romantic relationship with one of her patients, who's also married and dying.  April, played by Rochelle Aytes, is a recent widow who's still trying to get over her husband when she discovers a secret he was keeping from her.  And last, but not least, Josslyn, played by Jes Macallan, Savi's free-spirited sister who works in real estate and is a serial dater with no shortage of romantic suitors.  A show that is not only just about infidelity but about the affects it has on relationships and families.
As with most, tonight's pilot is a get-to-know-them episode, showing little peeks into each characters world, setting up for the rest of the season.  So give it the three episode try like I do and let me know what you think!
This salacious new drama hits TV tonight at 7pm EST/ 10pm PST on ABC.

**@ohsolindsay will be live tweeting tonight at 7pm**

Happy Watching!
xoxo Lindsay

'Save Me' From This 'Blue' Thursday!

Happy Thursday My Friends!

That's right an all new season of 'Rookie Blue' starts tonight!  With an extra added bonus of the series premiere of 'Save Me' staring Anne Heche.  So settle into the comfiest spot in your house, grab yourself a snack, mine will be some delicious surf sweets gummy bears from my tasty Foodee snack box, an healthy organic snack and get ready for a GREAT night of new shows!

Tonight we have new show starting!  Save Me on NBC.  This show stars Anne Heche, whom I love from 'Men In Trees'; I feel this show is going to be right up her alley as it seems like a character she can play very well!
The premise of this show is about a awful, rage-filled, narcissistic housewife (Anne Heche) who wants to murder her cheating husband in his sleep, her teen daughter despises her and the neighbors cringe when she tries to join them for lunch.  After drunkenly choking on a submarine sandwich, she comes to a changed women and realizes she has a direct line to god!  Bruce Almighty and Evan Almighty of sorts, this show could be promising, hitting the viewers at just the right time to be successful.  Can this housewife prove to everyone she's changed?  Find out tonight with back-to-back episodes of this series premiere starting at 5pm EST / 8pm PST on NBC.

Entering into its fourth season, this summer-time police hit 'Rookie Blue' centers around a squad of young police officers learning the ropes of how things work when you're a 'real' police officer and now feeling comfortable with their ranking in the squad, no longer Rookie's in a sense.  Last season definitely left us hanging, as Andy and Sam were FINALLY ready to be together after three seasons of things getting in the way, but taken away when Andy and Nick got offered an undercover job on a covert task force making them leave with no word to Sam or Gail.
We start tonight off  with Andy and Nick immersed in their undercover job and how it affects the people in their lives upon their return.  Mostly welcomed back by their colleagues, these two have a lot to deal with as Sam has moved on and Gail is furious and jealous of the situation.  With everyone in a different place, Chris with a Kid, Traci without a fiance, Oliver with a strained home life and Dov still reeling from killing a child, this season will not disappoint!  It all starts tonight at 7pm EST / 10pm PST on ABC and Global
***@OhSoLindsay will be LIVE tweeting for tonight's season premiere, log on and follow me for minute by minute tweets***

Hell's Kitchen has MOVED to Thursdays!  An all new episode starts tonight at 5pm EST / 8pm PST on FOX Followed by....

A new reality series Does Someone Have To Go?
Admit it: You think you're smarter than your boss. Your workplace is a total mess and only you know how to fix it. 'Don' gets paid too much and he's always showing up late. 'Jen' deserves a promotion because she does all the work, but no one notices her. And the only reason 'Debbie' from accounting still has a job is because her best friend is the boss' wife.
An interesting new series that takes an ordinary workplace with a ton of prblems and gives the power to the employees.  A Survivor meets The Office tune in tonight to see the ugly side of things when people vent their true feelings.
Series Premiere starts at 6pm EST / 9pm PST on FOX

Happy Watching and see you on Twitter!

xoxo Lindsay

Fake & Bake vs Sunless Tanning Lotion

Hello my friends,

Well for those of you who may not know I love to fake & bake but you would never be able to tell lol.  I am not one to sit and tan all day while reading a book because lets face it as per my blog, I clearly don't read that much lol.  So taking 10 minutes out of my day to cook my skin for a sun-kissed tan sounded like a plan to me. Over the past few years my friends and family have protested and I have ignored. This year I lost my father to cancer and I still ignored the ramifications of tanning.  Until Friday, it hit me, like a ton of bricks, I sit there cooking my skin and it's not really doing anything but ruining my skin and creating possible cancer. With everything that has happened this year and becoming an Auntie for the second time I have to think more about my actions and examples I set for these little ones and others!  So you will be happy to here that Friday was my last fake & bake ever!!  I promise!

Over the next few weeks you will see updates and posts about my favorite sunless tanners as I embark on this new sunless adventure.  Don't get me wrong, when that sun is shining and it's hot enough, Ill be out there, with my spf 30 on soaking up the vitamin D playing baseball or swimming in the pool!  But for now sunless tanners it is!
Today I started my new sunless tan crusade with Olay Quench Plus with a touch of sun!  As someone with sensitive skin, I was a little leery because I can develop weird bumps on my skin but day 1: so far so good.  This lotion has made my skin feel very smooth, soft and smell delicious!   The best way to apply this lotion is after showering and exfoliating, carefully put the lotion and make sure you rub it in well to avoid streaking.  This product takes a few applications as it is a gradual darkener.   What I hope from this product is a nice sun-kissed look without looking orange!  Please check back later this week to find out how it's coming along.  If you have any comments on this product or other product suggestions, I'd love your feed back!

Have a great day!
xoxo L

So Much on Sunday - Review

Hi my friends,

I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!  Are you ready for the Sunday review?!  Well it's going to be a long one, so grab your favorite drink and get comfy!

Amazing Race Sundays 5pm EST / 8pm PST

It was a sad night on Amazing Race for David and Connor and Oh So Lindsay.  As David and Connor had to forfeit the race because David was too hurt to continue.  A truly amazing pair and they will be missed, bowed out graciously each being more prouder than the other.  I was sad to see them go, but it wasn't meant to be.
The race continued to Hanoi, Vietnam with a double U-turn at some point in the race, the leaders of the pack tonight seemed to be Pam and Winnie, who won this leg of the race winning a trip for two to Whistler, BC Canada!  My neck of the woods! I wasn't surprised that the You-Tubers were u-turned but I was shocked that they chose Chuck and Wynona!  It didn't make any sense since the hockey players are big competition in this game and they were shocked too.  Sadly, Chuck and Wynona made it to the mat after completing both detours, defeated and in last place and being informed they were in last place.  But the luck of the irish was on their side last night as they were saved because of David and Connor's forfeit and they don't have to do both detours next week.  Happily, they have survived another day!  Will Chuck and Wynona pull themselves out of last place?  Catch the next new episode on Sunday March 24th.

Big Brother Wednesday's 5pm EST/ 8pm PST, Thursdays Live 5pm EST / 8pm PST, Sundays 6pm
EST / 9pm PST

On Thursday we saw Emmett and Jillian ecstatic that Emmett had won HoH, leaving the underdogs to feeling defeated and by Friday the buzz was alive with word that Emmett had cheated and Slice putting out a statement saying they were reviewing the footage and if cheating is found, there will be consequences.  And they stood by their word.  It was true, but Emmett was not the only one who cheated so did Jillian, Alec, and Liza.  Because of this Emmett was stripped of his HoH title, they all became have-nots and they couldn't play in the new HoH competition.  Additionally, Tom couldn't compete either because he was technically still HoH, which I didn't mind at all as I am not a Tom fan, and of course he made it all about himself.

You could see throughout the episode Emmett was devastated and didn't even know he did it.  I have a sneaking suspicion that Talla knew she cheated and thought she got away with it.  The HoH competition was questions regarding the Irish parade that came thru the house, and Gary was the HoH winner!! I thought it was Suzette because her number guess seemed closest until my mom reminded me that Suzette was throwing it so she didn't have a target on her back, which made Gary the winner and I am happy with that!! For one, Suzette, the underdog, is safe and two, Gary isn't afraid to put anyone on the block.  And that's exactly what he did, he nominated the smug Tom and lying Liza for eviction and Tom was finally knocked off his invisible high horse!!

Another favorite house guest of mine is Peter, I loved how Peter described Gary's win as taking it like a champ, kept it quiet, didn't show an outburst of emotion to make anyone else feel bad LOL.  The exact opposite of what he did lol.  Oh Peter your wit makes the show!  Check out the veto competition next Wednesday to see if Tom and Liza will pull themselves off the block, and next Thursday is double eviction night, a crazy two days of events on Big Brother Canada!

Once Upon A Time Sunday's 5pm EST 8pm PST

Primarily filmed in Steveston BC, this ABC hit features characters from our childhood fairy tales  and their present lives stuck in a world where they don't remember who they are and have no magic, Until one day Emma Swan aka the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming enters town and breaks the dark curse that has fallen over Storybrooke.

Tonight's episode focused on the Queen Regina and flipped back and fourth from 1983, when she condemned everyone to Storybrooke to present day, where everyone knows who she is and who they are.
Meanwhile, Mary Margaret aka Snow White is still heartbroken over the part she played in killing Cora. Henry detects that something’s up and Emma can’t lie to him again and She tells him what Mary Margaret did, but he can’t believe it.  Mr. Gold aka Rumpelstiltskin, went to Mary Margaret's to warn them about Regina's plan to kill her. David aka Prince Charming insists that Gold owes Mary Margaret his life and he’s going to do whatever it takes to pay her back. A non-eventful episode but still entertaining and worth catching onto if you like fantasy! Check it out an all new episode Sunday March 24th and catch up on episodes online at http://www.tv-links.eu/

Believe me this is a good show to catch up on!!

The Good Wife Sunday's 6pm EST / 9pm PST

Last week (March 10th) we saw Wallace Shawn, from Clueless, guest star as Charles, Lemond Bishops (drug dealer) long-time lawyer to help him try to win his losing criminal case for the murder of an employee.  Alicia suspects Charles is pulling moves like his client and threatening witnesses, but now that Alicia is a partner, she overlooks this piece of information.  Her moral compass is starting to wither away, now she’s backstabbing friends to get ahead in her career, overlooking witness tampering and kissing other men while supposedly working on her marriage.  And after a better part of two seasons Lockhart-Gardner is finally out of financial crisis and returning to its old spending ways; flowers, furniture, artwork, and pastries.  We see Kalinda and Cary grow closer together and are left wondering what happened the night before as we see them the next morning together....

Last night (March 17th) the infamous judge Ludwig dies in a car crash which has Alicia and Will working together to prove it was an accident in order for his insurance policy to be valid.  Alicia finds out the Judge was talking on his cell phone while driving despite the fact that his car was Bluetooth enabled and because of this the insurance company is ready to pay 10% of the 2 million to avoid uncertainty.
After a long battle Peter wins the elections on the Democratic front and Jordan walks up to Eli and congratulates him on all his efforts. He then tells him that since the real war has begun, he needs to show him something. He shows Eli a picture that Zack’s girlfriend, Nisa, posted on the internet. He then tells Eli that Nisa’s father made a donation to a charity organization which is known to have some terrorist affiliation.  Something that can not be affiliated with Peter.
Kalinda and Robyn are examining the accident spot and Alicia wants to know if there is anything that could prove that it was an accident and not recklessness.  And Kalinda being the amazing detective she is notices the light bulbs are different proving that the just was in the dark when he hit possible black ice.  Alicia and Will win the case even though they found evidence that his wife may have had something to do with his death.  Meanwhile Cary's father has returned and of course having an ulterior motive.  He says he wants Cary's law firm to head up a case involving a large pharmaceutical company and after a few disagreements his father takes it to another firm.  But Cary saves the day by directly speaking with the pharmaceutical company and getting them back to the firm, putting him back on the fast track to partner.
The episode ends with Alicia telling her son he can date whomever he chooses no matter where Peter is in his political career.
To all you good wife fans out there aren't you happy to finally see Julianna's natural hair? For the first two seasons, I swear it was a wig and it drove me NUTS!!!  Also, are you happy with the Robyn character, do you think she brings a little something to the table?

Watch the drama unfold next week, Sunday March 24th, on CBS

Revenge Sundays 6pm EST / 9pm PST

Last week (March 10th) we saw Emily get out of control in the aftermath of Amanda dying in her arms. Emily knows the Graysons are behind everything that happened to Jack and Amanda and she vows they will pay for everything they’ve done.  Which she has been preaching every season.  But this time she means it! Lol.

Jack survived his gunshot wound but his heart didn't survive, as she died in the boat fire.  Jack knows/thinks that the Graysons are behind it all and he starts acting like their buddy and thanking them for everything they are doing.  You can see that something is brewing there in his eyes and it will only be a matter of time before he executes it.  Jack in his panic to find the computer used to blackmail Conrad by Amanda also finds a letter she kept from when her and Emily were in juvie together which makes him furious with Emily for lying.  As Emily delivers Amanda's eulogy, Jack can't even look at her feeling so betrayed.

Meanwhile, Charlotte has been trying to find some family of Amanda's as she doesn't feel it's right that there is no one.  And she is successful in contacting Amanda's foster brother Eli, who shows up to the grave site when Emily is there alone paying her respects.  Will he recognize her? or will she get away with being the true Amanda?

Last night (March 17th) there was no Irish celebration going on here, we saw Emily try to play off the 'Eli only knows her from the night before' but when they are both at the stowaway he reveals he recognizes her tattoo and he knows exactly who she is.  Panicked of him ruining all her plans, she offers to wipe his record clean and gives him $100,000 to leave, but in true a revenge twist, after he accepts he decides to donate the money to the Amanda foundation set up by the Graysons and stay in town for a little while longer.

The Amanda foundation set up to honor Jack's dead wife is really set up to aide the Graysons in keeping their assets away from the government.  Jack confronts Nolan about being the one who rescued him after being shot but Nolan provides evidence that the person who rescued him was Kenny Ryan. It’s a good story, but the look on Jack’s face indicates that he may not buy it. Still, he lets Nolan know that he’s sorry he ever doubted him.  Daniel opens up to Amanda that Aiden is a pawn in the initiatives next plot and what the Amanda foundation is truly being used for and Nolan tries to aide Amanda in accessing the Grayson bank accounts but with no luck as the elusive 'Falcon' has returned and is protecting the Graysons again like it did during the David Clarke trial.

Personally, I am sick of the Daniel story, his acting doesn't fit the part of a CEO or a man who deceives others, I wish he would jump on the Emily bandwagon and help in exposing the truth about his family and I am not a huge fan of Eli, I don't think his character really serves a purpose but to scare Emily and that has been done too many times on this show.  I hope he is only around for another episode and gone.

The 'Falcon' is a new development in the always twisting David Clarke story so I am interested to see who it is, any ideas?!

The build up to the season finale is happening catch next weeks episode Sunday March 24th to see more drama unfold.

All About Oh So Lindsay

Hi Everyone!  WELCOME to my first blog.  My name is Lindsay and I am 29 years old living in British Columbia Canada.  As I am embarking on a new phase in my life, known as the thirties, I have decided to start it off with a blog.  I have thought about this for awhile and am finally diving in head first.

What is my blog going to be about you ask?

Mainly television, as that is one of my passions.  Many may sit down and read a good book to relax, or go to a yin yoga class, but I prefer and LOVE getting into one of my many pairs of Christmas pj's and curling up on the couch to watch my favorite shows.  To optimize my time I PVR most of my shows, this allows me to sneak in an extra show before calling it a night.  Please keep in mind I am only one person and I can only watch so many shows in one day/week/month!!  I have quite a plethora of different shows that I watch and hope to reach a wide variety of people.

Please stay tuned for my upcoming blogs and reviews on some of my faves.
Suggestions of shows are always welcome!
