Oh So Lindsay's Top 5 Fall Picks - New Series Premieres

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

Who else is as excited as I am for all the new and returning shows to start?  I am SO excited.  Nervous that now I will have to balance my life with my friends, boyfriend and family and still manage to find time to watch all 8 million shows I watch!  But that’s what PVR was invented for and mine will be working overtime!
Here are my top 5 picks for the NEW shows I am most looking forward to this fall:

#1 Madam Secretary

From the first hint of this show I knew I was going to love it.  I mean I haven’t even seen it yet but the clips that I have seen, they have already sucked me in!  For some reason I am a lover of unconventional presidential shows (Dave, The American President, Veep), so it doesn’t surprise me that this is my number one, must see show this fall.  Tèa Leoni’s humor and wit are on display for the world to see reeling us in as Elizabeth McCord, a determined Secretary of State who battles office politics and circumvents protocols as she negotiates global and domestic issues.  An out of the box thinking and do’er this girl is going to prove that not everything has to be played by the rules.
Set your PVR’s my friends you won’t want to miss the premiere of this on September 21st at 8pm on CBS.

#2 Black-ish

Created and starring Anthony Anderson, Lawrence Fishburn, and Tracee Ellis Ross as the Johnson family in the new hit comedy of the fall!  The Johnson’s have four fun-loving and uniquely different kids, living in an affluent, mostly white neighborhood which enhances the hilarity of the storyline as the kids try to fit in whereas Anderson tries to keep them rooted in his idea of black culture.   Could this be the 21st century ‘Cosby Show’?  Tune in September 24th at 930pm on ABC to find out!

#3 Gotham
Before Bruce Wayne was Batman and commissioner Gordon was the commissioner, it was just Gotham city, where people continued on in their merry way.  This dark and entirely new chapter of the great DC comics Super-Villians and vigilantes follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering between good and evil, and chronicling the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.  Ben McKenzie (Southland and the OC) stars as James Gordan, two weeks new in his detective position and engaged to his beloved fiancée Barbara Kean (Erin Richards, Open Grave) he is living his dream and restoring the city back to the version he remembers as a kid.  Paired with police legend Havey Bullock (Donal Logue) the two stumble upon the city’s highest profile case ever: the murder of local billionaires Thomas and Martha Wayne, leaving sole survivor Bruce (David Mazous, Touch) and creating a kinship bond with Gordon.  Gordon and Bullock will confront gang boss Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith), mob kingpin Carmine Falcone (John Doman), Selina Kyle future Catwomen (Camren Bicondova), Oswald Cobblepot /The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) and The Riddler/Edward Nygma (Cory Micheal Smith).  All you comic book fans NEED to PVR this one, as this new series will take you on a glipse of how Gotham came to be.
Watch as your childhood unfolds September 22nd at 8pm on FOX!

#4 Scorpion

Misfits unite in this high-octane drama about an eccentric genius Walter O’Brien and his team of brilliant misfits who compraise the last line of defense against complexs, high-tech threats if the modern age.  Working for Homeland Security, the new think tank ‘Scorpion’ teams themselves up with an unlikely source, a young boy like them and his mother who shows them how to conduct themselves with outsiders’ also known as real people.
Nerds unite September 22nd at 9pm on CBS!

#5 Bad Judge

Kate Walsh is back to primetime in this season’s hottest courtroom dramedy.  Rebecca (Kate Walsh) Judge upholds the law by day and breaks it by night; A wild child who knows how to have a good time, while being one of LA’s toughest and most respected criminal court judges.  She has a reputation for unorthodox behavior in the courtroom, She parties too much and rocks out on the drums in a band with her best friend, Jenny. While there's no shortage of male admirers who would love to spend time with her, she's not ready to settle down... except when an eight-year-old boy - whose parents were put in jail by Rebecca - needs her help. He may, in fact, be the one thing that starts to tame this "bad" judge.
The judgments start October 2nd at 9pm on NBC.
